Dear Mizzou Football Season Ticket Holder;
We hope that this finds you and your family safe and in good health as our nation continues its fight against COVID-19 and its many challenges. We deeply appreciate your past support as a Mizzou Football season ticket holder, and hope that you are anticipating the Sept. 5 start of the Eliah Drinkwitz' era when the Tigers kick off their 130th campaign against Central Arkansas on historic Faurot Field.
Our administration and coaches have been working from home like many of you, focusing on the well-being of our student-athletes, staff and fans, while also preparing for the 2020 football season. We are committed to providing exemplary customer service to our loyal season ticket holders and donors whose support allows Mizzou to complete at the highest level.
Understandably, there has been tremendous media speculation surrounding the 2020 college football season in the wake of COVID-19, which in turn has led to many questions from our season ticket holders. While we don't have all of the answers today, I can tell you that we remain encouraged with the progress being made against the virus and firmly believe the Tigers will kick off as scheduled this fall. Mizzou Athletics will be guided in its decision-making by health professionals, governmental leaders, university officials and the SEC, while keeping health, safety and well-being at the forefront throughout the process.
However, we also believe it prudent to share our ticketing refund plan should the season be impacted. As you may recall, our season ticket renewal deadline has been extended until May 31, which now aligns with TSF's renewal date. Furthermore, while it is much too early to speculate about the cancellation of the upcoming season, please know that Mizzou season ticket holders will have the following refund opportunities available to them should that happen:
- Contributing all or a portion of the refund (tax deductible) to the Tiger Scholarship Fund in support of Mizzou Athletics.
- Applying the refund as a credit toward 2021 football season tickets.
- Refunding the full amount to the method of payment originally used.
Please know that we are committed to treating you fairly as we navigate these uncertain times. We are grateful for our season ticket holders and Tiger Scholarship Fund donors who provide life-changing opportunities for our 550 student-athletes, and all of us hope that you remain healthy and safe in the coming days and weeks ahead.
