Mizzou fans wishing to attend the decisive rubber-match charity event can bring canned food donations or cash donations – with 100-percent of donations at the gate directly benefiting the Tiger Pantry. Founded in 2012, the Tiger Pantry strives to provide food assistance for those in need within the University of Missouri community. The Tiger Pantry is a partner agency of The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. Both programs will also hold a silent auction following the game.
"This is a great opportunity for both teams to get together for a great cause and to give back to our local community," Mizzou Softball head coach Larissa Anderson said.
"I've truly enjoyed this event the past two years," Mizzou Baseball head coach Steve Bieser said. "The atmosphere has been incredible as well as the competition between the two teams, but the most important aspect is that our two programs are joining together to support our local food bank and help those in need."

The series between the two programs is tied at 1-1, with Mizzou Softball taking the inaugural event, 7-2, and Mizzou Baseball getting their vindication in 2018.
