Tigers make season debut in rankings following Dayton Invitational title
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball placed No. 21 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I Coaches Top 25 poll, announced Monday by the organization's office. It marks the Tigers' first appearance in the national poll this season.

Mizzou vaulted into the latest edition of the AVCA poll following an undefeated weekend at the Dayton Invitational. The Tigers opened their trip with a sweep of No. 14 Michigan. Mizzou capped off its Friday (Sept. 6) doubleheader with a 3-1 victory over Dayton.
To conclude their weekend in Dayton, Ohio, the Tigers produced a 3-1 win Saturday (Sept. 7) against Northern Illinois. Mizzou's offense stole the show across its recent three-match stretch, producing 158 kills on an incredible .434 hitting percentage.
Furthermore, the Tigers hit .370-plus in 10 of 11 total sets played, highlighted by eight sets over .400 hitting and five sets exceeding .500 hitting.
Junior Kylie Deberg and redshirt sophomore Andrea Fuentes were recognized as well Monday for their individual success at the Dayton Invitational. Deberg was named the SEC Week Two Offensive and Overall Player of the Week while Fuentes garnered Setter of the Week accolades.
