Lewis is the No. 2 seed at 174 pounds while Mauller, Eierman earn top-five seeds

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The complete brackets for the 2019 NCAA Wrestling Championships were unveiled Wednesday evening by the NCAA seeding committee. RS senior Daniel Lewis highlighted the Tigers' selections as he took the No. 2 seed at 174 pounds. Lewis was one of three Tigers to earn top-five seeds at the national tournament. Joining Lewis are No. 4 seed Brock Mauller (149) and No. 5 seed Jaydin Eierman (141). Below is a complete breakdown of Mizzou's seedings and first-round opponents:
- 125 Pounds – RS Freshman No. 28 Dack Punke (11-10) vs. No. 5 Jack Mueller (Virginia – 17-0)
- Wrestled Mueller on Dec. 20 – L, Fall (2:55)
- 133 Pounds – RS Senior No. 8 John Erneste (18-4) vs. Derek Spann (Buffalo – 21-4)
- Wrestled Spann in the MAC final on March 9 – W, 6-2
- 141 Pounds – RS Junior No. 5 Jaydin Eierman (23-3) vs. Chris Debein (Chattanooga – 24-11)
- First meeting this season
- 149 Pounds – Freshman No. 4 Brock Mauller (29-2) vs. Matthew Zovistoski (Appalachian St. – 26-13)

- 157 Pounds – Freshman No. 13 Jarrett Jacques (27-6) vs. Luke Weiland (Army - 24-10)

Mizzou has at least nine wrestlers in the national tournament for the seventh time in the last nine seasons and the second straight year. The NCAA Championships will begin next Thursday (March 21) in Pittsburgh.
