COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball (21-7) treks to Lincoln, Nebraska, this weekend for the first and second rounds of the 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Tigers begin postseason play Friday evening inside the Devaney Center against Northern Iowa. First serve is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CT.
With a victory, Mizzou would then meet No. 5 Nebraska or Ball State Saturday night. The second round matchup is slated for a 7 p.m. CT start.

Series Snapshot vs. Northern Iowa
- Mizzou trails in the all-time series, 10-4-2.
- Friday night will mark the Tigers and Panthers' second meeting this season. The two squads first met in Columbia, Missouri (Sept. 13), at the Mizzou Invitational. Mizzou ultimately claimed a 3-1 victory in midst of a perfect 4-0 weekend inside the Hearnes Center.
- Friday will also mark the Tigers and Panthers' third all-time meeting in NCAA Tournament play. Mizzou and Northern Iowa first met 17 years ago (Dec. 7, 2002) with the Panthers producing a 3-2 victory in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in a second round matchup.
- Mizzou would claim revenge in its next postseason meeting with the Panthers (Dec. 3, 2010), stunning nationally seeded Northern Iowa in a first round contest.
Series Snapshot vs. Nebraska
- Mizzou trails in the all-time series, 72-3-1.
- The two programs last met a season ago (Dec. 1, 2018), also occurring in NCAA Tournament play. The Cornhuskers tallied a straight-set win over the Tigers inside the Devaney Center.
- Prior to last year's postseason meeting, the two programs hadn't met in eight years (Oct. 23, 2010). It was the teams' last contest with each other as members of the Big 12 Conference.
- Mizzou's last triumph over Nebraska occurred 16 years ago (Oct. 15, 2003). The Tigers recorded a 3-2 win over the Cornhuskers in Lincoln.
Mizzou Earns Fifth-Straight NCAA Tournament Bid
- For the fifth consecutive year and 16th time in program history, Mizzou has earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers will head north to Lincoln, Nebraska, for the second-straight year and match up against Northern Iowa Friday evening in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament.
- Mizzou's current streak of five consecutive years in the NCAA Tournament ranks second-best all-time, trailing only the team's eight-straight bids to the NCAA Tournament from 2000-07.
- The 2019 Tigers finished their regular season 21-7 overall and 13-5 mark in Southeastern Conference action. In Joshua Taylor's first-year campaign at the helm of Mizzou, the team produced six Top 50 RPI wins, eight Top 75 RPI victories and 12, Top 100 RPI triumphs.
- Mizzou is 10-5 all-time in NCAA Tournament first round matchups. The Tigers are currently riding a five-match winning streak in first round contests dating back to the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
