
Mizzou Gymnastics Signs Three to National Letters of Intent

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou gymnastics head coach Shannon Welker announced the addition of three future Tigers on Wednesday, as Kambrie Brandt (Adkins, Texas), Kyra Burns (Blue Springs, Mo.) and Amaya Marshall (Kannapolis, N.C.) all signed national letters of intent with Missouri. Brandt will enroll at the University next semester and compete the Tigers for the 2020 season, while Burns and Marshall will join the Tigers for the 2021 campaign.
"We're really excited to have these young ladies joining our Tiger family, "Welker said. "They are excellent representative for our University and even better people. Collectively, they have so much talent and a variety of 'WOW' events. Kyra, Amaya and Kambrie certainly have the ability to make our program even better."
KAMBRIE BRANDT
Hometown: Adkins, Texas
Parents: Lorne and Michelle
High School: International Connections Academy
Club: Mavericks Gymnastics
Club Coach: Steve and Gaby Arkell
- Finished fourth on vault at 2017 J.O. Nationals
- Also took fifth on vault at 2018 J.O. Nationals
- Three-time J.O. Nationals qualifier
- Owns career-best scores of 9.9 on vault, 9.75 on bars, 9.7 on floor, 9.2 on beam and 38.325 in the all-around

- Was the 2019 J.O. Nationals runner-up on vault

- Has career-best scores of 9.875 on bars, 9.775 on vault, 9.725 on floor, 9.55 on beam and 38.35 in the all-around

Kyra is a consistent leader in the gym and a well-rounded competitor. She was J.O. all-around champion in 2018 and was sixth in 2019, which clearly demonstrates her ability to make our team even better."
AMAYA MARSHALL
