
Wright and Fukutoku Wrap Up Competition at ITA All-American Championships

Mizzou will move to action at the ITA Central Regional, Oct. 17-22
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis junior Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) and sophomore Lisa Fukutoku (Tokyo, Japan) wrapped up competition at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships on Monday in Tulsa, Okla.
In singles competition, the duo each dropped their opening round match. Fukutoku lost, 7-6 (4), 6-1 to Silvia Chinellato (South Carolina), while Wright lost 6-2, 6-3, to Chandler Carter (Wake Forest). In doubles action, the teammates lost to Victoria Allen & Emmanuelle Salas (Florida State), 8-1. On the season, the duo drops to 2-2.
Mizzou will next be in competition at the ITA Central Regional, which is slated to take place Oct. 17-22 in Norman, Okla.
