Storylines

  • Mizzou and Arkansas meet for the 48th time in their storied program histories. Mizzou has only faced eight schools more times in its history than Arkansas
  • Mizzou has won two of its last three meetings with Arkansas. The Tigers are looking for back-to-back victories in the series for the first time since Jan. 28, 2014 and Feb. 13, 2014.
  • A win on Wednesday night would be Mizzou's second victory in Fayetteville since 1991.
  • After limiting Texas A&M to just 43 points, Mizzou has now held opponents to 69 or fewer points 31 times in the Martin era, which amounts to 63.3 percent of the games with him at the helm. When the Tigers have done so this season, they are 10-0. The Tigers rank second in the SEC and 37th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 65.2 points per game.
  • Mizzou is attacking the glass this season. It has outrebounded its opponent 12 times in 16 games this season. The Tigers have done that 34 times in 49 games during the Martin era. Mizzou is limiting opponents to 32.4 rebounds per game, which ranks fourth in the SEC.
  • Mizzou leads the SEC in 3-point field goal percentage and ranks 16th nationally in that category, shooting 39.2 from beyond the arc. From 2012-17, Mizzou shot 32.4 percent from 3-point range. In the Martin era, Mizzou is shooting 38.6 percent from deep. Mizzou has made 107 triples over the last 11 games. The Tigers have made at least eight triples 13 times in 16 games and shot at least 35 percent from beyond the arc in 11 of 16 games.
  • Sophomore Mark Smith is the SEC's top 3-point shooter and the top 3-point shooter among all high major players nationally (46.7 percent).
  • Before Martin's arrival, Mizzou hadn't won a true road game since beating Arkansas on Jan. 28, 2014. With Martin at the helm, Mizzou has already won six true road games in less than two seasons.

Lockdown Defense

  • Mizzou has allowed 1,043 total points this season, which is the sixth-fewest nationally among teams who have played at least 16 games.
  • Mizzou allowed just 43 points at Texas A&M. The Aggies have managed 43 points or less only five times since 2010. Texas A&M shot 26 percent from the field, its worst performance of the season and its lowest since Feb. 1, 2014.
  • Mizzou has held 10 opponents this season to 64 points or less. Only 32 total teams in the nation have done that, including just 14 high major programs. The only SEC teams on that list are Florida (10) and Mizzou (10).

Road Success

  • From Jan. 29, 2014 until Cuonzo Martin took over the program, Mizzou hadn't won a true road game in 36 tries. With Martin at the helm, the Tigers have won six road games in 14 tries.
  • Last season, Mizzou won four true road games in league play for the first time since 2011-12.
  • Mizzou's 23-point victory over Texas A&M was its largest SEC road win since beating Mississippi State 78-36 on Feb. 13, 2013. It was the Tigers' largest victory in College Station since 1992.

Geist In a Groove

  • Senior guard Jordan Geist reached double figures for the 11th time in 13 games when he contributed 17 points (6-of-7 FGs), five assists and five rebounds at Texas A&M. Geist is one of just 17 players in the nation to hit all those numbers and shoot at least 85 percent in a single game this season.
