
Two Tiger Defensive Linemen to Play in Tropical Bowl All-Star Game

Palmore, Brandon will Represent Mizzou Sunday
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri defensive line standouts Rashad Brandon (Jersey City, N.J.) and Walter Palmore (Columbus, Ga.) have accepted invitations to play in the 2019 Spiral Tropical Bowl all-star game, set for Sunday, January 13, in Daytona Beach, Fla. The game will kick at 9 a.m. (central time) and be available for live streaming on www.FloSports.com (subscription required).
Palmore, who started all 13 games in 2018, had an outstanding senior season for the Tigers, as he ranked ninth on the Tiger defense with 31 tackles from his tackle position. He ended the year with four tackles for loss, one quarterback sack, and added two pass break ups, two quarterback pressures and one blocked kick. He closed his Tiger career by making three tackles in the 2018 Liberty Bowl against Oklahoma State.
Brandon saw action in nine games this season, and produced five tackles overall, which included 1.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback sack. He added a quarterback pressure, which came in the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 31st.
Other upcoming all-star games which will feature Mizzou standouts include the East-West Shrine Game (Jan. 19 in St. Petersburg, Fla.) and the Reese's Senior Bowl (Jan. 26 in Mobile, Ala.). Details will be announced soon, as rosters are being finalized for those games.
