COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis opens the 2019 fall schedule this weekend with the eighth annual Mizzou Invite, held Friday, Sept. 20- Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Mizzou Tennis Complex. Mizzou welcomes Houston, SMU and Tiles for the tournament, which has no format, but rather individual singles players and double pairing which will match up with opponents from each program. Admission to all matches is free.
Mizzou opens play at the Invite at 1 p.m. CT on Friday with doubles teams from SMU, before facing individuals from Houston in singles at 2:30 p.m. CT. Doubles action opens Saturday's competition, with Mizzou facing off against teams from Houston. The Tigers will then take on Tulsa in doubles competition at 10 a.m. CT followed by SMU in singles competition at 1:30 p.m. CT. The tournament concludes on Sunday, as Mizzou will face Tulsa in singles competition at 11:30 a.m. CT.
Following the Mizzou Invite, Mizzou will compete at the Rivera/ITA All-American Championships, which is slated to take place in Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 5-13.
