COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Wrestling standout 141-pounder Jaydin Eierman (Columbia, Mo.) will compete at USA Wrestling's United World Wrestling (UWW) Freestyle World Team Trials from May 17-18 in Raleigh, N.C. The event will be held at NC State's Reynolds Coliseum. Eierman will compete for a spot to wrestle for Team USA at the World Freestyle Championships.
Eierman is coming off a third-place finish and his third consecutive NCAA All-America finish at the 2019 NCAA Championships. He was named MAC Wrestler of the Year in each of the last two seasons and finished his junior campaign with a 28-4 record with a team-high 17 pins. He went 5-1 at the NCAA Championships, losing to only eventual national champion Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell) in a 6-5 decision during the semifinals.
Eirman also has a long track record with USA Wrestling. Before his junior season, Eierman wrestled as part of the USA Wrestling World Freestyle Team, going 1-1 in Poland.
