
@MizzouWrestling’s Eierman Goes 1-1 at Ziolkowski Memorial in Poland

All-American pinned 2016 Silver Medalist in opening round
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Wrestling's two-time NCAA All-American Jaydin Eierman (Columbia, Mo.) finished his weekend going 1-1 overall at the Ziolkowski Memorial in Warsaw, Poland. Eierman opened the tournament by pinning 2016 World Silver Medalist, Beka Lomtadze of Georgia, in the qualifying round. Lomtadze also placed second in the 2018 European Championships.
Eierman was down 4-0 in the opening round before earning takedown points and shortly after pinning Lomtadze. He landed with a cradle for a pin just over a minute into the first round, solidifying the upset and advancing him to the next round.

Eierman faced up against George Bucur of Romania in the second round. The pair was evenly matched and battled back and forth, but Eierman was eventually outscored 4-1 after 5:43. Bucur was eliminated in the next round.
Eierman recorded 16 falls in his last regular season, which ranked him ninth in program history for falls in a single season. He was named MAC Wrestler of the year and earned All-American honors for the second year in a row.
