@MUWomensGolf’s Yuen Heads to Stillwater for NCAA Championships

STILLWATER, Okla. – Mizzou sophomore Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) is set to compete at the NCAA National Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma from May 18-20. Yuen is be the second Tiger in program history to advance to the National Championships individually and the first since Kristen Samp in 1996.
Yuen will play three rounds at the Karsten Creek Golf Club, beginning Friday. She tees off at 1:05 p.m. CT. After 54 holes, the top 15 teams and the top nine individuals not on advancing teams move on to Monday for a final 18 holes of stroke play.
Yuen is one of 12 competitors who earned individual bids to the NCAA Championships. She shot a 6-under par 66 in the final round of the Tallahassee Regional to punch her ticket to the NCAA National Championships, the eighth round of 66 or better in program history.
Yuen has racked up 11 rounds under-par this season and five Top-10 finishes. She is seeking the best individual finish at the NCAA Championships in program history. Samp placed 61st with a 327 at the 1996 National Championships.
