Cross Called Up to England's U-20 National Team For La manga Tournament

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou soccer's Zoe Cross received a call-up to compete with the England Women's Under-20 National Team at the upcoming La Manga Tournament in La Manga, Spain. The Young Lionesses will take on China (Thursday, April 5), the United States (Saturday, April 7) and Norway (Monday, April 9) in the round-robin tournament.
The matches serve as preparation for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, held Aug. 5-24 in France.
A fixture with England's U-17, U-19 and now U-20 National Teams, Cross helped the Young Lionesses qualify for the U-20 Women's World Cup at the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship elite and championship rounds.
Cross saw action in 19 games during her freshman season and started nine in the midfield for the Tigers in 2017. She earned assists in games against Northwestern and Albany, and played at least 60 minutes in five different contests (Oregon State, Nebraska, TCU, San Diego State and Kentucky).
