COLUMBIA, S.C. – No. 6 South Carolina proved to be too much for the Mizzou Tennis team on Thursday at the Carolina Tennis Center, as the Gamecocks registered a 4-0 win.
South Carolina (17-3, 9-0) showed why it's atop the SEC standings after capturing the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 2, then winning in straight sets in all three deciding singles matches.
Senior co-captain Amina Ismail (Maineville, Ohio) came the closest to taking a set, closing within 4-3 of the second before the clinching match ended the contest.
