LEXINGTON, Ky. - Graduate senior guard Kassius Robertson (Toronto, Ontario) secured his eighth 20-point game in Southeastern Conference play, but it was not enough to push Mizzou Men's Basketball (18-11, 8-8) past Kentucky (20-9, 9-7) on Saturday night inside Rupp Arena. The Tigers dropped an 87-66 result to the Wildcats, while Robertson sank 6-of-11 shots from deep range en route to 26 points.
TURNING POINT
After exchanging punches with Kentucky for the majority of the first half, Mizzou found itself tied with the home team, 26-26 with 5:18 left until the break. Kentucky closed the first half on an 18-6 run to take a 44-32 advantage into the locker room.
Kentucky entered the game shooting just 29.5 percent from three-point range as a team, but throughout the first half managed to discover a previously unknown effectiveness from beyond-the-arc. The Wildcats finished the first period shooting 8-for-10 from three-point territory.
Mizzou was unable to cool the hot hands of the Wildcats, overall, as Kentucky finished the game shooting 54.9 percent from the field.
