COLUMBIA, MO. - Mizzou Women's Basketball (20-5, 8-4) was on fire early and often as it led wire-to-wire in a dominant 84-58 victory over Arkansas on Monday night in Fayetteville. Four different Tigers scored in double figures and Mizzou received 31 points from its bench as head coach Robin Pingeton's squad used a well-rounded effort to down the Razorbacks. Mizzou secured its third consecutive 20-win season for the first time since 1984-1987.
Junior guard Sophie Cunningham led Mizzou with 18 points, draining 4-of-5 attempts from beyond the arc. Redshirt senior Jordan Frericks added 15 points and eight rebounds and sophomores Jordan Chavis and Hannah Schuchts chipped in 12 points and 10 points off the bench, respectively. Mizzou shot 51.7 percent from the field and 45.8 percent from long range (11-of-24) on Monday. The Tigers have shot above 50 percent in three consecutive games and six times in league play. Mizzou is 6-0 in those contests.
Turning Point
Mizzou led for all 40 minutes on Monday and has now led for 80 consecutive minutes vs. the Razorbacks this season. The Tigers exploded offensively in the opening quarter, scoring 33 points, their most in a single frame during the current campaign. Mizzou jumped ahead 10-2 in the first few minutes after Cunningham and Amber Smith followed a jumper by Cierra Porter with consecutive triples. Mizzou made six 3-pointers in the first quarter and built a commanding 33-14 advantage by the end of the frame.
Game Notes
- Mizzou has 20 wins for the third consecutive season for the first time since 1984-87. Mizzou secured its 20th win on Feb. 12. That's the quickest Mizzou has reached 20 wins since the Tigers did so on Jan. 29 during the 1976-77 campaign.
- Mizzou's 33-point first quarter was its highest scoring frame of the season. It marked the second time during the 2017-18 campaign that the Tigers have surpassed 30 points in a quarter with the only other time coming in the fourth quarter vs. Saint Louis on Dec. 8.
- Mizzou beat Arkansas by a combined 60 points over two games this season, outscoring the Razorbacks 172-112. Mizzou has won the last six meetings over Arkansas.

- Redshirt senior Jordan Frericks tallied 15 points and eight rebounds. Over the last three games, she is averaging 16.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
- Junior Sophie Cunningham scored a team-high 18 points. She is 9-of-12 from behind the arc over the last two games.
- Hannah Schuchts reached double figures for the second time this season, scoring 10 points off the bench.
- Freshman Emmanuelle Tahane chipped in five points, matching her career-high.
- Jordan Chavis reached double figures for the first time since Jan. 21, scoring 12 points. In two games vs. Arkansas this season, she scored 24 combined points.
