FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – In a top-25 matchup, sixth-ranked Mizzou Wrestling dominated No. 13 Purdue and claimed a 41-3 win to improve to 3-0 at the South Beach Duals. The win marked Mizzou's fourth win over a ranked opponent this season and its second of the weekend after defeating No. 21 Lehigh Saturday. Mizzou extended its dual winning streak 29 straight with the win.
Mizzou earned bonus points at six of the 10 weight classes, including pins from John Erneste (133), Jaydin Eierman (141) and Daniel Lewis (174). After a decision in the opening bout at 125 pounds, Mizzou ran off four straight bonus point wins from 133-157, picking up two pins and technical fall from a pair of true freshmen – Brock Mauller (149) and Jarrett Jacques (157).
Mizzou lost just one bout to the Boilers in a match that went all the way to the first tiebreaker round. Below are a look at the bout-by-bout results.
