Mizzou Cross Country Set to Race at SEC Championships

Women will race at 9 a.m. CT Friday, followed by the men at 10 a.m. CT
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Cross Country will begin postseason competition on Friday as the Tigers will compete in the Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships. The women will begin the day with a 6k race at 9 a.m. (CT) at the Indian Pines Golf Course in Auburn, Ala., followed by the men's 8k race at 10 a.m. (CT).

The Mizzou men enter the race ranked 12th in the USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Rankings, while the women are ranked ninth in the Midwest Regional Rankings.
For the women, many runners will be making their postseason debuts, such as freshmen Mikayla Reed (Washington, Mo.), Reilly Revord (Hinsdale, Ill.), Tori Findley (Blue Springs, Mo.) and Emma Roth (Parkville, Mo.). Other runners expected to contribute for the Tigers include junior Melissa Menghini (Fenton, Mo.) and redshirt junior Sophia Racette (St. Louis, Mo.).
On the men's side, Mizzou will be led by Kieran Wood (Cambridge, U.K.), Thomas George (Gloucester, England), and Evan Schulte (Columbia, Mo.). Wood has finished first for Mizzou in his last two appearances, while George has also finished first for the Tigers twice this season. Freshman Oaklee Hauschild (Blue Springs, Mo.) will also be making his postseason debut for the Mizzou men.
After Friday's competition, the Tigers will head to Peoria, Ill., for the NCAA Midwest Regional on Nov. 9, and then hopefully onto Madison, Wis., for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17
