COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team (3-4-1) officially opens Southeastern Conference play on Friday as the team hosts Georgia at 6:30 p.m. at Walton Stadium. The Tigers then conclude non-conference action at home on Sunday, Sept. 17 with a match against Albany at 6:30 p.m. CT Both matches will air live on SEC Network +.

TIGER TIDBITS
- Missouri owns a 4-1 edge in the all-time series with Georgia
- Sunday marks the first-ever meeting between the Tigers and Great Danes
- Mizzou is coming off a 2-1 comeback win over San Diego State on Sept. 10
- The Tigers trailed the Great Danes 1-0 after only six minutes of action but used goals from freshmen Tess Rellihan and Lindsey Whitmore to earn the victory
- Rellihan is now tied with senior Jessica Johnson with a team-high two goals

LAST TIME OUT
- Mizzou went 1-1 last weekend, including a 2-1 win over San Diego State at home on Sept. 10
- On Sept. 7, the Tigers suffered a tough 2-1 road loss at Northwestern.
- Mizzou went up 1-0 against the Wildcats after goal from senior Jessica Johnson but surrendered two goals later in the match
- Three days later Missouri went down 1-0 to San Diego State early but used two unanswered goals to earn the win
- Freshman Tess Rellihan tallied the equalizer late in the first half and freshman Lindsey Whitmore notched the game-winner, her first career goal, in the 69th minute
FRESHMEN LEAD TIGERS TO WIN OVER SDSU
- Both of Mizzou's two goals against San Diego State came at the feet of Tiger freshmen
- Tess Rellihan tallied Mizzou's equalizer in the first half and Lindsey Whitmore netted the game-winner in the second half
- Rellihan's goal was the second of her career and second in three matches, as she also scored at TCU on Sept 3
- She is now tied with senior Jessica Johnson with a team-high two tallies
- Whitmore found the back of the net for the first time in her Missouri career with her goal
WHITMORE NABS MEMORABLE FIRST CAREER GOAL
- Freshman Lindsey Whitmore's first goal in a Tiger uniform was a memorable one, as she netted the game-winner in Mizzou's 2-1 comeback win over San Diego State on Sept. 10
- Missouri trailed 1-0 early in the first half and made it a 1-1 match by halftime
- With the score still tied in the 69th minute, Whitmore one-timed a loose ball in the box on the open net to propel the Tigers to the win and put her into the scoring column
- Whitmore became the seventh Tiger to score a goal so far this season, including the third freshman
LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT...GEORGIA
- The Bulldogs enter this weekend with a 4-3-1 record, with wins over High Point (1-0), Charlotte (1-0), Lipscomb (3-0) and Coastal Carolina (9-1)
- Georgia averages 1.88 goals per contest while allowing only 0.75 goals per game
- Mollie Belisle paces the team with four goals for eight points, while Kelsey Killean has three goals and an asssit for seven points
- Keeper Louise Hogrell leads the squad in minutes played in net and owns a 0.89 GAA

- Albany is 2-5 on the season with wins over Iona (1-0) and Siena (2-1)
