Crow recognized for outstanding efforts in strength and conditioning
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball redshirt junior Melanie Crow (Wildwood, Mo.) was honored by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a 2017 All-American Athlete.
The award recognizes student-athletes' athletic accomplishments and dedication to the field of strength and conditioning. Crow was nominated by Mizzou Volleyball strength and conditioning coach, Mike Larson.
"Mel does a great job of being mindful when training," Larson said. "She understands the importance and has really bought-in to what we're teaching. She attacks her academics and competition with the same attitude as well and that's why she's deserving of this award."
The Tiger outside hitter was one of six Mizzou Athletics student-athletes to receive this year's NSCA recognition. Crow joins Women's Basketball redshirt senior Lianna Doty, Wrestling redshirt senior Matt Lemanowicz, Baseball junior Bryce Montes De Oca, Women's Swimming and Diving redshirt senior Lauren Reedy and Men's Swimming and Diving senior Fabian Schwingenschlogl.
