
@MizzouSwimDive Set to Host 2017 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou's men's and women's diving teams will vie for NCAA Championships berths as the programs host the three-day NCAA Zone D Diving Championships, March 6-8, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
Zone D consists of divers from 18 different schools.
The meet gets underway on Monday with men's 1-meter at 11 a.m. and the women's 3-meter competition at 4:45 p.m. Following prelims, 18 divers will advance to finals, with scores carried over. Tuesday's events include men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter at the same times, while on Wednesday men's platform starts at 11 a.m. and women's platform begins at 4:05 p.m.
The top five female and top four male divers from each event at their respective zone diving meet will be eligible to compete at the NCAA championships. Additional place finishers in each event at each zone will be eligible based on the number of student-athletes from that zone who finished in the top 16 in that event at the previous year's championships NCAA championships. Based on last year's NCAA performances, Zone D will advance seven women on 1-meter and 3-meter and 11 on 3-meter and platform, while eight men will qualify on 1-meter and nine each on 3-meter and platform.

4:05 p.m. – 6:55 p.m. – Women's platform
