COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Mizzou Softball (17-12, 0-3 SEC) saw its four-game winning streak conclude Friday evening, falling 8-0 (5 inn.) at No. 7 Texas A&M. The Tigers struggled across the board at the Aggie Softball Complex, leading to the series-opening loss.
Mizzou's offense only mustered two hits against Aggies pitching, as sophomores Regan Nash (Camden Point, Mo.) and Rylee Pierce (Visalia, Calif.) each tallied base hits. Nash's infield single extended her season-high hitting streak to five games.
Texas A&M's offense produced eight hits overall Friday, highlighted by three home runs. The Aggies scored in all four of their at bats, including multiple runs in three of those innings.
Freshman Parker Conrad (Winter Park, Fla.) continued her fine stretch in the circle after missing a month due to injury, allowing zero earned runs for the third consecutive outing.
