TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Mizzou Women's Golf continued play at the 2017 Florida State Match-Up on Saturday afternoon, shooting a collective 7-over (295). The Tigers are 12-over (588) across their opening 36 holes, ranking sixth overall in the team standings.
"We had a better start today, but our middle was a little rough," head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "When we made the turn we struggled with holes one-three. We had a lot of good shots during our round but really struggled to hole out our good birdie opportunities. The team is in a good position to move up quickly once those putts start falling. We are really close to breaking out a low number."
Junior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) was the Tigers' top individual performer on Saturday, shooting even par (72) over 18 holes. Freshman Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) was one shot behind Young, posting a 1-over (73) for the day.
Yuen remains towards the top of the individual rankings, as her 1-under (143: 70, 73) through 36 holes of play places tied for 11th. Young's solid day on the course moved her into a tie for 25th place overall.
