Turning Point

Chavis finished with nine points behind a trio of treys. Mizzou went on to pull away and seize a significant edge early in the second half as Cunningham scored on back-to-back possessions to open the third quarter. Three minutes later, the Tigers put together an 8-0 run as Porter followed a turnaround jumper with a bucket in the paint and sophomore Amber Smith and Aldridge added baskets of their own. The scoring spurt allowed Mizzou's lead to swell to 57-34 and head coach Robin Pingeton's squad cruised the rest of the game to its sixth consecutive victory by double digits.
