Emma Allen tied for second overall individually
BOULDER CITY, Nev.- Mizzou Women's Golf claimed third place Tuesday at the 2017 Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown hosted by UNLV. The Tigers shot a team total of 5-under, their lowest 54-hole team total of the 2017 fall campaign. Participants faced more challenges today with considerable wind affecting play.
Junior Emma Allen seized her fourth career top-5 finish, tying for 2nd and posting 6-under through 54 holes. This was her second consecutive event this season that she has placed 2nd individually. It is also Allen's third consecutive appearance posting under par at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. Her freshman year, she carded 10-under and tied for 10th.
Sophomore Jessica Yuen finished strong after carding a team low for the day of 2-under. She ended the tournament tied for 6th overall after moving up 12 spots on the leaderboard from the previous day. She ultimately ended the event 4-under, her third event under par this season. It marked Yuen's second consecutive appearance posting under par at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown after tying for 10th last year.
Senior Clara Young ended the tournament sitting at tied for 11th. She tallied her first under-par event of the 2017 fall campaign after posting a spectacular first round of 4-under.
Sophomore Cherise Otter finished tied for 43rd in her first career start as a Tiger.

The Tigers now turn to their final tournament of the 2017 fall campaign as they travel this weekend to Dallas, Texas for the Trinity Forest Invitational hosted by SMU.
