TIGER TIDBITS
- The all-time series between Mizzou and Ole Miss is tied 2-2-1. The Tigers won last year's matchup, 2-1, while the Rebels own a 1-0-1 mark in Oxford.
- Missouri went 1-1 last weekend with a 4-1 home victory over San Francisco on Sept. 2 and a 1-0 loss at No. 23 Notre Dame on Sept. 4.
- Freshman forward Sarah Luebbert continued her impressive start a goal and two assists in Mizzou's win over San Francisco.
- Luebbert leads the Tigers with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Only six games into 2016, her 10 points match the team's individual high from last season.
- Luebbert was named the SEC Freshman of the Week on Aug. 29 following her two-goal performance against Illinois and Colorado. Luebbert headed in the game-winner in overtime against Colorado on Aug. 28 and tallied a goal on Aug. 26 against Illinois.
- Senior defender Erin Webb tops the Tigers with three assists, including the game-winning assist against Colorado. The three assists already stand as a single-season high for the senior, who entered this season with three career assists.
- Four different Tigers scored against San Francisco, upping the number of players with goals in 2016 to nine. That total is only one fewer than the number of goal scorers from a season ago.
- Mizzou's win over Central Arkansas marked the first time the squad cameback from a 2-0 deficit since a 3-2 win over Kansas on Oct. 21, 2011. In that contest, the Tigers scored two goals in the 85th and one goal in the 89th minute to record the win.
- The Tigers also recovered a 3-1 deficit to notch a 4-3 overtime win against Montana on Sept. 12, 2014.
- The Tigers return eight starters from the 2015 squad that finished second in the Southeastern Conference regular season standings with a 7-2-2 conference mark. Mizzou went 9-5-5 overall on the season.
- Three Tigers earned spots on the 2016 SEC Watch List: junior midfielder Kaitlyn Clark, senior midfielder Melanie Donaldson and senior defender Jasmine Johnson. Donaldson claimed postseason honors from the SEC a season ago, when she was tabbed to the second team.
- Mizzou also faces five teams that qualified for the 2015 NCAA Tournament this season, including matchups with Notre Dame (second round), Florida (Sweet 16), Texas A&M (Elite Eight), Auburn (Sweet 16) and Ole Miss (Sweet 16).
- The Tigers were picked to finish sixth in the SEC Preseason Coaches' Poll, released on Aug. 11. Missouri was also selected sixth a year ago before finishing second in the league standings.
