
Grand Prix of Germany Serves as Final Olympic Tune-up for Cox

Five members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic freestyle wrestling team will compete in Germany

COLUMBIA, Mo. – In his final event before competing in the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, Mizzou wrestler J'den Cox (Columbia, Mo.) will wrestle at the Grand Prix of Germany on Saturday, July 2 in Dortmund, Germany. Joining Cox in Germany will be four other members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic freestyle wrestling team; Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Snyder, Daniel Dennis and Frank Molinaro.
Cox will be one of 19 wrestlers in the 86 kg weight class. Among the 19 wrestlers, four are currently ranked in the United World Wrestling Men's Freestyle Rankings at 86 kg, including Nurmagomed Gadzhiev (Azerbaijan), who is ranked No. 13.
Competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in Germany, 2 a.m. CT.
