
Walker Leads the Way as @MizzouMensGolf Concludes Play at SEC Championship

Tigers place 12th, shooting rounds of 289-292-300 (+41, 881) in St. Simons Island, Ga.
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - Mizzou Men's Golf finished play at the 2016 SEC Championship on Sunday (April 17) at Sea Island Golf Club, with junior Euan Walker (Troon, Scotland) leading the way for the Tigers by tying for 18th overall in the event.
Walker's strong play brought him his fifth Top 25 individual finish of the season, as the Tiger fired in rounds of 72-73-73 (+8, 218). Walker played his best golf on the course's most challenging holes, shooting 3-under-par on the Seaside Course's two par-5 holes over the entire tournament.
Head coach Mark Leroux's young lineup saw freshman Preston Fleenor (Kansas City, Mo.) as the next lowest-shooting Tiger into the clubhouse. Fleenor finished tied for 38th after recording rounds of 80-71-72 (+13, 223).
Mizzou's other junior in the lineup, Linus Lilliedahl (Sandviken, Sweden) placed tied for 52nd after shooting +15 in the SEC event (71-79-75 -- 225).
Sophomore Hayden Buckley (Belden, Miss.) and freshman Matt Echelmeier (Columbia, Mo.) rounded out Mizzou's lineup, with the two placing tied for 58th (72-75-80 -- 227) and tied for 64th (74-73-81 -- 228), respectively.
