COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs return home to host Georgia in an Southeastern Conference dual on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Noon at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network +. Admission is free.
The Tiger women (4-0 overall, 2-0 SEC) are ranked 18th in the latest TYR/CSCAA Division I poll, while the men (3-1 overall, 1-1 SEC) are ranked 23rd. Georgia is ranked second on the women's side and sixth on the men's.
Missouri is coming off sweeps over Kentucky, Northwestern and Southern Illinois in two-day quad dual last weekend. The women picked up wins over Kentucky (199-152), Northwestern (233-95) and Southern Illinois (263-118), while the No. 20 men also notched victories over Kentucky (202-170), Northwestern (273.5-98.5) and Southern Illinois (286-83). Senior Michael Chadwick (Charlotte, N.C.) won three events during the meet, including two victories on Saturday. Also double winners over the two days were seniors Katharine Ross (Des Moines, Iowa) and Fabian Schwingenschlogl (Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany) and junior Hannah Stevens (Lexington, Ohio).
Chadwick was named the SEC Male Swimmer of the Week following his performance last weekend. He swept the 50 free (19.89), 100 free (43.52) and 200 free (1:37.49) races and swam on two winning Tiger relays. He has won all seven individual events he has swam so far this season, with three wins in the 100 free, two in the 50 free and one each in the 200 free and 200 IM.
Following the meet against Georgia, Mizzou returns to the pool to host the Mizzou Invite, Nov. 17-19, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
