TIGER TIDBITS
- Freshman forward Sarah Luebbert was named the SEC Freshman of the Year, as voted on by the league's head coaches. She is only the second Tiger to ever earn conference freshman or newcomer of the year honors, joining Alysha Bonnick in 2007.
- Senior midfielder Melanie Donaldson claimed a spot on the All-SEC first team, while Luebbert, senior midfielder Lauren Selaiden and junior midfielder Kaitlyn Clark were named to the second team. Luebbert also earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.
- Donaldson was a second team selection in 2015 and Clark was named to the All-Freshman Team in 2014. Selaiden was honored for the first time in her career.
- Luebbert leads the team with 24 points on 10 goals and four assists. Her 24 points and 10 goals are the most for a Mizzou player since Kristin Andrighetto had 27 points and 11 goals in 2009.
- Luebbert currently ranks tied for second on Mizzou's all-time freshman goals and points lists. She needs only one goal to tie Alysha Bonnick's freshman goals record of 11.
- Clark leads the Tigers with seven assists on the year, including five in SEC play. She also has two goals.
- Junior Allie Hess ranks second on the squad with 13 points on six goals and an assist. Hess entered her junior season with only one career goal.
- The Tigers rank third nationally in shots per game (19.44) and sixth nationally in shots on goal per game (8.83).
- Missouri has come back from two-goal deficits twice this season, with a 4-3 win over Georgia and a 3-2 win over Central Arkansas after trailing both teams 2-0 in the first half. Before this season, the last time the Tigers recovered from a 2-0 deficit was on Oct. 21, 2011, when Mizzou notched a 3-2 win over Kansas after trailing 2-0 in the 82nd minute.
- The Tigers are 3-1-1 in overtime matches this season, with wins over Mississippi State, Illinois and Colorado, a tie with Texas A&M and a loss to Iowa.
Mizzou opened SEC play with a 5-0 win at Ole Miss on Sept. 9. The five goals were the most-ever by the Tigers in an SEC game and the most for the team since a 5-1 win over Pacific on Aug. 23, 2013. - The Tigers returned eight starters from the 2015 squad that finished second in the Southeastern Conference regular season standings with a 7-2-2 conference mark. Mizzou went 9-5-5 overall on the season.
