Sunday will mark the Tigers and Crimson Tide's only meeting this year

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball (15-3, 6-0 SEC), winners of 10 consecutive matches, hit the road this weekend for a Southeastern Conference matchup at Alabama. The Tigers and Crimson Tide will compete on Sunday, Oct. 16, with first serve scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (CT).
Sunday afternoon's matchup inside Foster Auditorium will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Fans can also follow the action online at StatBroadcast.com.
Series Snapshot vs. Alabama
- Mizzou leads the all-time series, 5-3.
- Mizzou leads all-time matches played in Tuscaloosa, Ala., 3-1.
- In the last meeting, Mizzou claimed a 3-2 victory over the Crimson Tide on Oct. 28, 2015, in Columbia, Mo.
Mizzou Stretches Winning Streak to 10 Matches
- Mizzou continued its fantastic play in SEC action, sweeping Arkansas (25-19, 31-29, 25-12) on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Hearnes Center.
- The Tigers' current winning streak is up to 10 matches, marking only the program's sixth double-digit winning streak since 2000.
- The 2016 Mizzou squad joins the 2000, 2002, 2005, 2013 and 2015 programs as the only teams to accomplish the impressive feat.
Munlyn on a Terror in SEC Play
- Sophomore Alyssa Munlyn produced eight kills on .667 hitting against Arkansas (Oct. 9), marking her fourth consecutive match of hitting .500 or higher.
- Munlyn has hit .300 or higher in all six of Mizzou's SEC matches thus far.
- The Suwanee, Ga., native's incredible .586 hitting in SEC action ranks 1st in the conference. Additionally, her total .439 hitting this season ranks 2nd in the SEC and 9th in the NCAA.
Crow Continues Serving Magic
- Redshirt junior Melanie Crow has made an outstanding impact in her first year with Mizzou. One of the top contributions has been her stellar serving. Crow enters this weekend leading the Tigers with 36 service aces (0.55 per set).
- In SEC play (six matches), Crow's 13 service aces (0.72 per set) also pace Mizzou individuals.
- Nationally, the Wildwood, Mo., native's 0.55 aces per set ranks 7th in the NCAA, while her 36 total aces ranks 6th in the country.
