OPENING TIP
• Mizzou started the season 13-0 for the first time in program history with an unblemished run through nonconference play, passing the 1982-83 team that started 9-0 for the best in school annals. The Tigers' have started the SEC slate 1-2, earning a 54-48 victory at Georgia on Jan. 7 in between losses to No. 12 Tennessee and No. 2 South Carolina.
• On Sunday, Mizzou fell 83-58 at No. 2 South Carolina in front a 15,934 fans, the most to ever view a game in program history. The previous high was 13,595 at Nebraska on Feb. 27, 2010.
• Cierra Porter led the Tigers with 10 points and seven rebounds in 28 minutes of action at South Carolina. She has grabbed at least seven boards in three of the last four games.
• The Tigers are ranked No. 24 in the most recent Associated Press Top 25 poll, marking four consecutive weeks that Mizzou has been ranked nationally. When the Tigers broke into the AP poll four weeks ago, it marked the first national ranking for Mizzou since Jan. 9, 2006, when Mizzou was ranked No. 24 for a week. Prior to that, the Tigers had not been ranked in consecutive weeks since the 1984-85 season.

• Mizzou head coach Robin Pingeton signed a new 5-year contract through the 2019-20 season that was announced on Oct. 2. She earned her 90th victory as Tigers head coach on Dec. 20 vs. Lamar.
• The Tigers rank 11th nationally in rebounding margin (+10.8), 19th in scoring margin (+17.4), 25th in free throw percentage (74.9), 30th in field goal percentage (44.7), 35th in scoring offense (75.4 points per game) and 40th in field goal percentage defense (35.7).
• Sophie Cunningham ranks 35th in the country in field goal percentage (54.3), which is fifth nationally among NCAA freshmen. She has gone 82-for-151 from the floor and 24-for-55 (44 percent) from 3-point range.
• Forwards Cierra Porter and Jordan Frericks are shooting 56.6 and 56.3 percent from the field, respectively. Mizzou's starting five is shooting 51.2 percent from the floor and 40.8 percent from 3-point range.
ABOUT MISSISSIPPI STATE...
• The No. 6 Bulldogs come to Columbia on an 11-game winning streak dating back to Dec. 6. Their only loss of the season was a 53-47 decision at No. 4 Texas on Dec. 2.
• Vic Schaefer is 78-39 (.667) in his fourth season as the head coach in Starkville. He was the 2015 AP SEC Coach of the Year and a Naismith National Coach of the Year semifinalist.
• Sophomore guard Victoria Vivians (Carthage, Miss.) leads the Bulldogs and the SEC with 17.9 points per game. She also leads the league with 45 made 3-pointers.
• Freshman center Teaira McCowan (Brenham, Texas) is 6-7 and averages a team-leading 6.9 rebounds per contest. Sophomore guard Morgan William has an SEC-best 91 assists (5.4 per game).
