LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Mizzou Wrestling freshman Jaydin Eierman (Columbia, Mo.) finished fourth in the 60 kg freestyle weight class at the UWW Junior Nationals on Saturday. Eierman's fourth place finish highlighted seven Mizzou wrestlers who competed in the tournament, held Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas, Nev.  

Eierman posted a 5-2 record in the tournament, defeating 2015 UWW Cadet World Championships gold medalist Yianni Diakomihalis, 12-11, to advance to the quarterfinals before falling to Scott Parker, 12-11. On the backside of the bracket, Eierman won three matches, scoring a 14-4 technical fall, a fall (2:33) and a 6-2 decision en route to the bronze medal match, where Eierman fell in a rematch to Diakomihalis, 19-8.

Redshirt freshman John Erneste (Kansas City, Mo.) also competed at the 60 kg weight class, posting a 2-2 record. Erneste scored a technical fall and a fall in his wins. At 66 kg, freshman Kevin Kissane (Wichita, Kan.) posted a 3-2 record in the tournament.

Freshman Taylor Watkins (Columbus, Kan.) went 2-2 at 74 kg, while freshman James Romero (Albuquerque, N.M.) posted a 1-2 record at 120 kg. Two from #TigerStyle competed at 70 kg, with freshman Luke Fortuna (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) posting a 1-2 record and freshman Keegan McCormick (Lee's Summit, Mo.) posting a 0-2 record.
