TEAM
- Mizzou has now outscored SEMO 86-6 in the program's last two meetings combined. The Tigers improved to 3-0 all-time against the Redhawks.
- Mizzou has won 14 consecutive season openers and 18-of-19 dating back to 1997. This is the program's 11th consecutive home-opening victory.
- The Tigers improved to 15-0 all-time versus Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponents and 12-0 in 15 seasons under head coach Gary Pinkel. (570-96 combined score).
- Mizzou has 26 defensive touchdowns since 2010 after a blocked punt (Kentrell Brothers) was returned for a score (Aarion Penton) in the third quarter. That mark is tied with Florida for the fourth-most in the nation in that time span.
- Pinkel has 187 wins in his head coaching career. He's the fourth-winningest active coach in the FBS.
OFFENSE
- Junior QB Maty Mauk threw two touchdown and completed 12 passes (22 att.) for 181 yards. He is ninth all-time for career passing yards in Mizzou history with 3,899.
- Senior C Evan Boehm notched his team-high 41st career start in his 41st career game.
- Sophomore WR J'Mon Moore hauled in his first career touchdown reception, catching a 27-yard strike from Mauk. The grab was the longest reception of Moore's career. He finished with a career-best 74 receiving yards.
- Mizzou's first offensive drive was a five-play, 64-yard march to the end zone in just 1:15 of game clock.
- Sophomore WR Nate Brown surpassed his career high in receiving yards midway through the first quarter. After his first reception of the game totaled a career-high 25 yards, the sophomore wideout secured his first career touchdown with a 23-yard grab three plays later. He finished with a career-best 69 receiving yards.
- Freshman QB Drew Lock took the first snaps of his Mizzou career vs. SEMO, completing four of five passes for 51 yards on his lone second quarter drive, setting up a 39-yard field goal by Baggett.
- The last time Mizzou had two quarterbacks toss for 50 or more yards in the first half was Mauk and James Franklin vs. Ole Miss in 2013.
- Lock heaved a 78-yard touchdown pass to senior TB Tyler Hunt for Mizzou's longest play from scrimmage on Saturday. The connection was Lock's first career touchdown pass and Hunt's first career touchdown reception.
- Freshman WR Thomas Richard secured his first career catch with a 4-yard grab in the second quarter.
- Redshirt freshman WR Keyon Dilosa also recorded his first career catch, taking a screen pass 13 yards for a first down in the opening quarter.
- Redshirt freshman DeSean Blair collected his first career reception with a 21-yard snag early in the fourth quarter.
DEFENSE
- Senior LB Kentrell Brothers racked up 10 tackles in the game's first 24 minutes on only 26 SEMO plays from scrimmage. He finished with a career-high 16 tackles, which is the fourth-most at Mizzou during the Gary Pinkel era.
- Brothers added 1.5 tackles-for-loss and a blocked punt, which was returned by Aarion Penton for a touchdown in the third quarter. The last time Mizzou returned a blocked punt was Malcom Williams on Oct. 24, 2009, vs. Texas.
- Senior CB Kenya Dennis picked up just his second sack in a Mizzou uniform, bringing down the SEMO quarterback for a loss of 10 yards in the first quarter. Dennis added three more tackles and one pass break-up.
- Mizzou's first takeaway of the 2015 season was a forced fumble by Charles Harris recovered by senior safety Ian Simon. It was the second forced fumble of Harris' career.
- Sophomore LB Joey Burkett collected a career-high four tackles after totaling just one in his previous 13 games played.
- Both redshirt freshman LB Brandon Lee and freshman DL Terry Beckner Jr. picked up their first career tackles on Saturday.
SPECIAL TEAMS
- Senior PK Andrew Baggett was responsible for 10 points on Saturday, hitting home a pair of field goals and four extra points. He is just now 61 points shy of breaking the school record for points in a career by a Tiger.
- Freshman PK/P Corey Fatony handled both kickoff and punting duties in his collegiate debut. He boasted a punt average of 46.4 yards, booting his longest punt 54 yards.
- Mizzou's new punt returner, junior CB Aarion Penton, broke free for a 22-yard return on his third of four returns.
MISC.
- Mizzou opened its season with 64,670 fans inside Memorial Stadium. The crowd was the most on hand for a Tiger home-opener since 2009 when 65,401 fans attended Mizzou's game vs. Bowling Green, a 27-20 win for the Black & Gold.
