TIGER TIDBITS
- Mizzou owns a 4-1 edge in the all-time series against Kentucky, including a 1-0-1 mark in games played in Lexington.
The Tigers boast a 3-1 all-time record against the Bulldogs and are 2-0 since joining the SEC in 2012. - Missouri is ranked 36th in the first RPI of the season and one of only two three-loss teams ranked among the top 64 squads due to a strong strength of schedule.
- Mizzou has allowed only seven goals in its opening nine matches, despite playing a tough schedule. The seven goals allowed in the first nine games of the year is the fifth-lowest total in program history (Mizzou allowed five goals in the span in 2005, 2011 and 2012 and six in 2006).
- Redshirt sophomore keeper Kristen Rivers earned her first career start in Mizzou's game against South Carolina on Sept. 20. She held a Gamecock offense that came in averaging 3.2 goals per game to only one, and made four saves in net.
- The Tigers are 1-1-0 in SEC action after a 2-1 victory over then-No. 9 Auburn on Sept. 11. Mizzou received goals from sophomores Savannah Trujillo and Alli Magaletta to secure the win in the conference opener.
- Freshman keeper Kelsey Dossey ranks third nationally among freshman goalies (second true freshman keepers) with a 0.52 goals against average. She also ranks fourth overall in the SEC in that category.
- Mizzou's win over then-No. 9 Auburn on Sept. 11 marked the first win for the Tigers over a top-10 team since a 1-0 victory against No. 7 Florida on Sept. 29, 2013.
- The Tigers two goals against previously undefeated Auburn were the first goals of the season allowed by the Auburn defense, which entered that match with six consecutive shutouts to open 2015.
- Dossey became the first Mizzou goalie to start the season opener since Laura Buehrig in 2004.
- 2015 marks the 20th season of Mizzou soccer, as the program started in 1996 under the direction of current Head Coach Bryan Blitz. Blitz and the Tigers own identical 211-167-27 records in 20 seasons.
- Eight starters are back for Mizzou in 2015 from the 2014 squad that went 12-7-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
