COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team (1-0-1) travels to West Lafayette, Indiana, this weekend for the Boilermaker Challenge Cup. The Tigers take on Indiana (0-1-1) on Friday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. CT and host Purdue (2-0-0) on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 1 p.m. CT. Sunday's match will be broadcast live on BTN2Go.com.
The Tigers went 1-0-1 to open the 2015 campaign, with a 2-0 shutout over TCU on Aug. 21 and a 1-1 double-overtime draw with SMU on Aug. 23.
TIGER TIDBITS
- Freshman keeper Kelsey Dossey became the first Mizzou goalie to start the season opener since Laura Buehrig in 2004. Dossey did not disappoint with totals of 0.45 goals against average and a .800 save percentage in 200 minutes of action in the two contests.
- Three different Tigers found the back of the next last weekend: senior defender Candace Johnson, senior midfielder Reagan Russell and sophomore forward Savannah Trujillo, who tallied the game-winner against TCU. Johnson's tally was off a penalty kick, while Russell and Trujillo both scored in the run of play.
- Mizzou owns a 3-2 edges in the all-time series against both Indiana and Purdue. Missouri last met Indiana on Sept. 2, 2005, when the Tigers earned a 2-0 win. On Aug. 28, 2011, Mizzou and Purdue last met for a 4-2 win for the Tigers in Columbia.
- 2015 marks the 20th season of Mizzou soccer, as the program started in 1996 under the direction of current Head Coach Bryan Blitz. Blitz and the Tigers own identical 209-165-25 records in 19-plus seasons.
- Eight starters are back for Mizzou in 2015 from the 2014 squad that went 12-7-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
- The 2015 schedule features three nationally televised games, 10 home contests and regular season matchups with five teams that qualified for the 2014 NCAA Tournament.

Mizzou returns home to Walton Stadium on Friday, Sept. 4 to host the Oregon State Beavers at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network +. The squad then travels to Evanston, Illinois, to face the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
