GAME NOTES
With Friday's loss, Mizzou falls to 20-11 on the season with a 6-4 mark in conference play.
Friday's loss to the Gators is just the second loss to an SEC East opponent this season. It is worth noting that the SEC East consists of four ranked opponents.
The matchup against No. 4 Florida was the Tigers' seventh game against a top-10 team in the country this year. They are 3-4 in games against top-10 opponents.
With a leadoff single in the first inning, Brett Peel extended his reached-base-safely streak to 28 games. He is four away from tying Mizzou's all-time record for consecutive games reaching base.
In the first inning, Jake Ring doubled for his team-leading 11th double. He is also the team leader in extra base hits with 13.
Alex Del Rio earned his first career start on Friday. Del Rio took two walks in his two first career plate appearances.
Despite pitching just 5.1 innings, Reggie McClain remains tied for the SEC lead in innings pitched. McClain and Jared Poche' of LSU are tired at 57.1 innings pitched Brett Peel collected two hits on the day, good for his seventh multi-hit game this season. That mark is tied for fourth best on the team.
Ryan Howard also knocked two base-hits on the day, tying him for the team lead with 10 multi-hit games.
Brett Bond stole second base in the second inning, giving him his fourth stolen base of the season. Bond has stolen three bases in the last three games.
Lake Dabney recorded two scoreless innings pitched on Friday, lowering his ERA to a microscopic 0.75 on the year. Dabney has made nine appearances this year, allowing a run on just one occasion.
