2016

  • Made 14 starts as a senior with the majority coming to open weekend series and he posted a 3.65 ERA in 101.0 innings pitched, going over the century mark for the second consecutive season.
  • Finished the regular season ranked fourth in the nation in walks allowed per nine innings, averaging just 0.80 in his 101.0 innings … Add in his 94 strikeouts and just nine walks, he finished third in the nation in strikeout-walk ratio.
  • At the end of the regular season, he was one of just two pitchers in the nation (Taylor Bloom of Maryland being the other) to walk single digit batters in more than 100.0 innings.
  • Had zero or one walks in 13 of 14 starts and zero in six of those 13 … Had just one game with multiple walks.
  • Went 22.1 innings without allowing an earned run to open the season for the second consecutive year … Did not allow an earned run until his third start of the year against UIC (3/4).
  • Tossed 8.0 shutout innings with just four hits while striking out four on opening day in a 7-0 win over Seton Hall (2/19).
  • Threw a complete game with just two unearned runs, nine hits and no walks while striking out six in a 12-2 win over Hofstra.

2015

  • Finished the season with a 7-7 record and a 3.56 ERA over 101.0 innings pitched in his first year as a Tiger.
  • Earned SEC Pitcher of the Week three times in 2015 and opened his Tiger career with a 22.1-inning shutout streak, the longest by a Tiger since Aaron Crow in 2007. 
  • Finished the regular season ranked second in the SEC in inning pitched (101.0), third in shutouts, third in complete games and 11th in strikeouts (80).
  • Allowed just six homers on the season (101.0 IP), the lowest among Tiger starting pitchers
  • Teamed with freshman Tanner Houck to become the first Tiger duo to throw more than 100 innings each since 2007.
  • Earned SEC Pitcher of the Week after tossing 8.0 shutout innings while striking out 10 with no walks and just three hits in a 1-0 Mizzou win over Iona to open the season (2/13).
  • Tossed a complete-game shutout over Sam Houston State, allowing just four hits, no walks with four strikeouts the next week (2/20), again earning SEC Pitcher of the Week honors.
  • Matched his career-high with 10 strikeouts over 7.0 innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run in a win over UIC (2/28).
  • In his SEC debut, tossed a complete game with just six hits, one run and eight strikeouts at Georgia (3/14).
  • Was again dominant against No. 6 South Carolina, tossing 8.1 innings, walking none and scattering just five hits in a 3-2 Mizzou win (3/20).
  • Just missed a complete game against Alabama (4/17), scattering eight hits over 8.2 innings, allowing just one earned run, earning his fifth win of the season.
  • Tossed 7.0 innings, including six perfect frames against Ole Miss (5/1) to earn his sixth win of the season. 
  • Was dominant against the Gamecocks in the SEC Tournament (5/19), scattering just six hits and allowing one run over 7.0 innings, allowing just one unearned run while striking out six in a 5-1 Mizzou win.
