#MizzouMade in the NFL - Week 8

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Football was once again well represented during week seven of NFL action, as Kony Ealy, Jacquies Smith and Aldon Smith all had productive outings. Below is a look at how all of the #MizzouMade standouts fared in week seven.

Tim Barnes – C – St. Louis Rams
86325Barnes led the St. Louis Rams to their second straight victory on Sunday. They defeated the 49ers, 27-6. Barnes and the Rams offensive line provided 197 yards of running room in the win. The 4-3 Rams will take on the Vikings in Minnesota next week. The Rams are 3-0 in their division for the first time since 2004 and they are above .500 for the first time this late in the season since 2006 thanks in large part to Barnes and the running game.


Beau Brinkley – LS – Tennessee Titans
86326Brinkley had a busy afternoon in Houston, snapping for a Titans offense that punted seven times and kicked two field goals. Tennessee lost the matchup, 20-6. The loss marked their sixth straight defeat. They will head to New Orleans to take on the red-hot Saints next Sunday.


Justin Britt – OL – Seattle Seahawks
86327Britt and the Seahawks beat the Dallas Cowboys, 13-12, on Sunday. Britt's offensive line did a great job all afternoon protecting Russell Wilson, giving up zero sacks on the day. Seattle will take its 4-4 record back home for a pivotal divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday night.


Chase Coffman – TE – Tennessee Titans
86328Coffman did not catch a pass in the Titans' 20-6 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. Now in his sixth season in the NFL, Coffman has caught four passes for 42 yards on the season. The Titans will attempt to end a six-game losing streak in New Orleans next week.


Chase Daniel – QB – Kansas City Chiefs
86329Daniel and the Chiefs defeated the Detroit Lions, 45-10, in London on Sunday. The overseas matchup was the NFL's third out-of-country matchup of the season. Chase completed both of his pass attempts for four total yards in the win. The Chiefs will take their two-game winning streak into a bye week. They will try their luck against the undefeated Denver Broncos in two weeks.


Kony Ealy – DE – Carolina Panthers
86330Ealy and the Panthers topped the Colts, 29-26, in overtime on Monday Night Football, keeping their perfect record intact at 7-0. The Panthers are one of just four undefeated teams remaining in the NFL after week eight. Ealy continued his fine play along the defensive line with five tackles and a sack, his first of the season and the fifth of his career. He also forced a fumble in the win as he has been a stalwart on a Panther defense that ranks in the top-10 in the NFL in total defense. As one of the team's primary pass rushers, Ealy has also been a key reason why the Panthers rank fifth in the NFL in pass defense.


Blaine Gabbert – QB – San Francisco 49ers 
86331Gabbert did not play in the 49ers 27-6 loss to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. San Francisco fell to 2-6 on the year. They will look to right the ship next Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons as Gabbert is slated to get the start, his first of the season.


Andrew Gachkar – LB – Dallas Cowboys
86332Gachkar recorded one solo tackle in Dallas' 13-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The defeat dropped Dallas to 2-5 on the season. The Cowboys will try to snap a five-game losing streak next week versus the Philadelphia Eagles.


Markus Golden – LB – Arizona Cardinals
86333Golden registered one tackle for a loss on Sunday. The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Cleveland Browns 34-20. They will take a two game win streak into a bye week. Golden and his vaunted defense will take on Seattle's Legion of Boom on Sunday Night Football in two weeks. Golden and the Cardinals sit atop the NFC West at 6-2 and rank among the top half of the NFL in total defense and ninth in scoring defense.


Jeremy Maclin – WR – Kansas City Chiefs
86334Maclin returned to play this week after suffering a concussion week six. He performed well in his return, pulling in three catches, one of which was a touchdown, for a total of 35 yards. Maclin now has 566 yards on the year. The Chiefs moved to a record of 3-5 after a dominating 45-10 performance in London, England, over the Detroit Lions.


William Moore – S – Atlanta Falcons
86336After suffering a groin injury last week against the Titans, Moore was unable to play this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Moore has been a significant part of the Falcons defense this year, recording 36 tackles, one forced fumble and an interception.


Mitch Morse – C – Kansas City Chiefs
86337Morse and the Chiefs' offensive line provided protection for a dominating 45-10 performance over the Detroit Lions in London. The Chiefs logged 340 total yards, 206 of which were on the ground. Morse and the Chiefs look to continue their rebound after a tough start in next week's matchup against the undefeated Denver Broncos.


C.J. Mosley – DT – Miami Dolphins
86338Mosley recorded one tackle this past Thursday against the New England Patriots. The Dolphins, with a record of 3-4, travel to Buffalo for their week nine matchup. The 11-year veteran has recorded four tackles on the season.


Marcus Murphy – RB/PR – New Orleans Saints
86335Murphy has continued to impress in his role as a return specialist for the New Orleans Saints. In their 52-49 win against the New York Giants, Murphy recorded one kick return for 23 yards and two punt returns for a total of 30 yards. His final punt was a big one, going for 24 yards with a 15-yard facemask penalty tacked onto the run, setting up the game-winning field goal with five seconds remaining. The rookie back has averaged an impressive 24.2 yards a kickoff return.


Shane Ray – DE – Denver Broncos
86339After suffering a knee injury in week six's win against the Cleveland Browns, Ray was once again inactive this week. Ray was declared out for four to six weeks, and looks to return soon for the second-half of the season. The rookie defensive end has four tackles and two sacks on the year for a Denver defense that ranks first in the NFL in total defense.


Aldon Smith – LB – Oakland Raiders
86324Signing with the Raiders just before the 2015 season, Smith has continued to impress with his four tackle performance Sunday. Smith has 22 tackles and a sack and a half on the year. The Raiders are now 4-3 after their week eight 34-20 win against the Jets, 34-20.


Jacquies Smith – DE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
86340Smith did not record a stat this past Sunday, and injured his ankle in the second-half of the Buccaneers' week eight 23-20 win against the Falcons. He now has 14 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles on the year for the 3-4 Buccaneers.


Sean Weatherspoon – LB – Arizona Cardinals
86341Weatherspoon did not make it into the stat sheet again this week in the Cardinals' 34-20 win against the Cleveland Browns Sunday. The six-year veteran has struggled to make his way into the starting rotation, recording six tackles on the year.
