A group of Mizzou throwers will get the action started for the Tigers with the Mid-Week Open in Emporia, Kan., on Wednesday, April 22. Included among the group of competitors is senior Kearsten Peoples, who was recognized as the SEC Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (April 21) after landing at the top of her fifth Mizzou school record board last weekend. Peoples entered the season with records in the indoor shot put, outdoor shot put, weight throw, and discus, and now adds the hammer throw to that list after her 64.42m (211-4) performance at the Gateway Invitational in Edwardsville, Ill.
Joining Peoples in the ring for the shot put and discus is fellow-senior Jill Rushin, who currently ranks at No. 2 in the NCAA for the shot put with her season's best 17.62m (57-9.75). Rushin currently sits just behind Peoples in the Mizzou record books with the No. 2 throws in school history for both the discus and shot put.
A pair of All-Time Top Ten athletes will also be featured in the men's and women's javelin throw, as senior Macauley Garton and sophomore Jennifer Berilla take to the runway. Garton currently sits in the No. 3 position on the men's All-Time Top Ten list with his PR toss of 71.15m (233-5) from Arkansas' John McDonnell Invitational while Berilla holds the No. 8 throw in school history for the women with her PR toss of 41.78m (137-1) from last weekend's Gateway Invitational.

Meet Home // Live Results
A group of Tiger sprinters and jumpers are making the trip out east to the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Penn., this week, taking the track in one of the top fields during the regular season. Among the 17 Tigers donning the black and gold are a pair of Mizzou school record holders for the indoor season - junior Markesh Woodson and sophomore LaQuisha Jackson. Both hold the men's and women's records, respectively, in the 60m and 200m dashes, and will look to continue moving their names up the list for the 100m dash All-Time Top Ten this weekend. Woodson is currently No. 4 All-Time for the men's 100m dash with his PR of 10.18 while Jackson is No. 5 on the women's side with her best of 11.87.
Other Mizzou record book athletes making an appearance at the Penn Relays are the trio of Top Ten All-Time men's triple jumpers - junior Tony Carodine, senior Jonathan Ilori, and freshman John Warren. Ilori currently leads the three with his position at No. 4 on the list (15.89m / 52-1.75) while Carodine sits at No. 5 (15.64m / 51-3.75) and Warren currently ranks at No. 7 in Mizzou history from his best this season (15.62m / 51-3).
On the track, senior Drake Stuedemann is one of the three Tiger men to be featured in the 400m hurdles. Stuedemann currently holds the ninth-fastest time in school history with his PR of 52.33. Looking to join him in the record books after this weekend is fellow-senior Andy Schuckenbrock and sophomore Jerrad Mason.
On the women's side, freshman Shammai Ilis will also take to the triple jump runway. Ilis landed herself in the Mizzou record books in her first outdoor meet weekend of the season, jumping 12.31m (40-4.75) to take over the No. 3 spot on the event's All-Time Top Ten list.
Events in Philadelphia will also feature several relays for the Tigers, including the men's 4x100m, who hit the seventh-fastest time in school history with their 40.68 performance during the Texas Relays in March.

DRAKE RELAYS
Meet Home // Live Results
A group of mid-distance, distance, and field event men and women are staying closer to home this weekend, traveling up to Des Moines, Ia., for one of the headline meets of the outdoor season - the Drake Relays. Starting Thursday evening with the 4x1600m relay, and the 10k and 5k runs, and going through Saturday afternoon, the group of 29 Tigers will look to solidify qualifying marks into the NCAA West Preliminary Round next month.
Two of the headlines heading into the weekend's events are a pair of school records out of the women's team - sophomore Kaitlyn Fischer and senior Katrine Haarklau. Fischer will be up first, taking the line with freshman Karissa Schweizer in the 5000m run on Thursday evening. Fischer is the current record holder in the 10k run (33:12.37), and has already nabbed her qualifying time in the event after her 33:43.05 crossing at the Stanford Invitational, good for a 10th-place ranking in the West region.
Haarklau, who owns the school record in the pole vault with her PR bar of 4.35m (14-3.25), will take to the runway on Saturday, joining fellow All-Time Top Ten members sophomore Alyssa Applebee and senior Maggie Givens. Applebee currently sits at No. 3 in the Mizzou record books for the event with her PR from earlier this season (4.05m / 13-3.50), while Givens sits at No. 5 in school history (4.00m / 13-1.50).
The 3000m steeplechase will also feature a pair of All-Time Top Ten athletes, as senior Courtney Wood and junior Sam Dickerson take the line Saturday morning. Wood holds the second-fastest time in school history for the event (10:21.32) while Dickerson currently holds the No. 5 position with his PR from earlier in the season (8:51.69).
Also taking to the track is junior Will Crocker, who will time through in his first 1500m run since hitting the fourth-fastest time in school history at the Stanford Invitational (3:43.66).
Senior Macauley Garton will also be featured in the weekend's events at Drake, returning after Wednesday's performance at Emporia State's Mid-Week Open. He will be joined on the runway with another All-Time Top Ten member, freshman Alex Pascal, who sits at No. 7 in school history (63.35m / 207-10).
