COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou tennis wrapped up their home weekend today at Mizzou Tennis Complex, and fell 7-0 to visiting No. 3 Florida Gators. The Tigers battled hard against a talent rich Gators lineup, but ultimately dropped their matchups in both singles and doubles play.

Sunday afternoon started at doubles with the Tigers competing well early-on. Mizzou had their hands full as Florida's No. 1 tandem was ranked No. 4 in the country, and their No. 3 duo came in at No. 22 in the nation.

Following even play to begin the three doubles matches, the Gators' proved to be too much as they took home an 8-3 win at the No. 1 matchup and 8-2 victory at No. 3 play.

After a quick intermission, the two SEC teams finished their day at singles play. Once again, Mizzou went up against nationally ranked foes, as Florida possessed five individuals ranked in the top-40 nationally.

Similar to doubles play, the host Tigers competed well early-on in each respective match but the Gators proved to be too much in the long run. Florida ultimately took home wins in all six singles contests, claiming match victories in straight sets.

Mizzou hits the road again next weekend with visits to No. 11 Vanderbilt and No. 22 Kentucky. The Tigers and Commodores play on Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m. (CT), while Mizzou and the Wildcats compete on Sunday, March 22 at 9 a.m. (CT).
