COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team will play four games, including one home match during the 2015 spring season, Head Coach Bryan Blitz announced on Thursday. The schedule features two shortened games against National Women Soccer League teams FC Kansas City and the Chicago Red Stars in St. Louis (April 4), a game against Oklahoma State at a neutral site in Kansas City (April 11), and a final home match-up against Northern Iowa at Walton Stadium (April 18).
The Tigers officially open spring play on Saturday, April 4 as the squad travels to Lou Fusz Park in St. Louis for back-to-back shortened games against FCKC (10 a.m.) and the Chicago Red Stars (11 a.m.). FCKC won the 2014 NWSL National Championship.
On Saturday, April 11, Missouri heads to Swope Park in Kansas City to face Oklahoma State at 12 p.m. The Cowgirls finished out the 2014 season with 10-10-1 record.
Mizzou then closes the 2015 spring season on Saturday, April 18 with a match at home against Northern Iowa. Last season, the Panthers closed with a 7-9-3 record.
