Mizzou Golf Remains in Contention at Loyola Golf Invite

Goodyear, Ariz.--With a 36-hole total of 6-over-par 582, Mizzou Golf is tied for second with Gonzaga heading into the final round of the Loyola Golf Invite sponsored by the Neville Kovacs Group. During the second round, Utah Valley extended its first-round lead to 13 strokes.

Luigi Botta and Ryan Zech will begin the third round tied for 11th with two-day totals of even-par 144. A top-10 finish for Botta would be the first of his Tiger career.

Columbia native Wilson Sundvold advanced in the standings during the second round by carding even-par 72, the best second-round score of a Mizzou starter. Sundvold is 4-over-par and tied for 27th after two rounds.

Euan Walker is tied for 45th at 6-over-par 150, while Hayden Buckley is tied for 50th at 7-over-par 151.

Individual competitor Jacob Fair dropped nine strokes from his first-round score, posting a 2-under-par 70 in the second round to move into a tie for 36th.

The final round of the Loyola Golf Invite begins Tuesday with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun. Live scoring can be found on golfstat.com.
