LINCOLN, Neb. - Mizzou tennis kicked off their weekend road trip in a big way Saturday morning, as they shutout Colorado State 7-0 at the Nebraska Tennis Complex. Four Tigers each went a combined 2-0 against the Rams en route to the team's dominating victory.
Freshman Brianna Lashway, sophomore Cassidy Spearman, junior Kelli Hine, and junior Madison Rhyner each tallied wins in their singles and doubles matchups. Sophomore Beatriz Machado Santos and freshman Clare Raley rounded out Mizzou's impressive day on the court Saturday morning.
Hine continued her hot streak at No. 1 singles play, as the New Braunfels, Texas native extended her winning streak to seven consecutive matches. Not far behind is Santos' active streak of six singles wins, as she took home a victory at No. 4 play today.
Saturday's contest marked the fourth time this spring season that Mizzou has recorded a 7-0 shutout against their opponent.
Mizzou concludes their road weekend tomorrow in Lincoln against Nebraska. The Tigers and Cornhuskers are set for an 11 a.m. (CT) first serve, and fans can follow the action online on Twitter (@MizzouTennis).
