
Tigers Continue Spring Season at LSU Tiger Golf Classic

Baton Rouge, La. -Mizzou Women's Golf will head out to Baton Rouge, La. this weekend for the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The tournament will be played at The University Club, a 6,215-yard, par 72 course. The Tigers will play 18 holes each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (March 21-23) with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sunday's round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
Redshirt Freshman Michelle Butler, freshman Jess Meek, junior Alina Rogers and seniors Taylor Gohn and Kate Gallagher will make up the Tiger lineup for the weekend. Junior Laura Kraft will compete in the tournament as an individual.
The Tigers will face several top-ranked opponents this weekend as No. 5 Arkansas, No. 17 UCF and No. 18 LSU are among the competitors. Also competing will be Baylor, Denver, Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe, Notre Dame, Purdue, SMU, TCU, Tulane, UNCW and UTSA.

Last season's LSU Tiger Golf Classic saw Missouri finish 11th overall, led by senior Taylor Gohn who finished 16th overall. Gohn improved her scores consistently throughout the tournament, and recorded four birdies in the third round of play for her best score of the tournament.
