Game Notes: Missouri vs. Milwaukee, March 18, 2014

Mizzou's 11 hits tonight is its eighth-10 hit game of the season in only 19 games. It took 34 games last season to get eight-10 hit games.

The sixth inning appears to be Mizzou's favorite to score runs. Mizzou added two more sixth-inning tallies tonight and are now outscoring opponents, 19-2.

Griffin Goodrich made his sixth career start and third on the season, going a career-best 7.0 innings, striking out four and walking just one.

Logan Pearson made his first start and first hit since injuring his hamstring during the Tigers' opening series in a game against Chicago State. His previous career high was 6.0 IP against Alcorn State on March 11, 2014.

Freshman Ryan Howard hit his first career homerun in the second inning. Howard has hit safely in eight of his last 14 at-bats in which he has walked twice, with three doubles, a homer and six RBIs and has reached base 11 of his last 17 at-bats after playing in five games, starting in three of them. Howard also extended his current hitting and on base streaks to five games piece, as well as recording his fourth multi-hit game of the season.

Eric Anderson extended his hitting streak to four games in the second inning with a double as well as extended his on-base streak to 12 games.

Dylan Kelly extended his on-base streak to nine games with a walk in the eighth inning.

With Kendall Keeton's sixth stolen base this season, the Tigers have 19 stolen bases, a vast improvement from last year's team that stole just 20 bases in 50 games.

Catcher Jack Klages picked off the first runner of his career in the fourth inning and the first by a Tiger catcher this season.

Austin Tribby made his SEC-leading 13th appearance of the season in the eighth inning.

Shane Segovia extended his hitting streak to six games and his on-base streak to 13 games.

Breckin Williams recorded his first save of the season and second of his career.
