- Mizzou now leads the all-time series with Tennessee, 5-2, with all seven matches coming under head coach Wayne Kreklow. It is Mizzou's second win in Knoxville as it is now 2-1 at UT with Mizzou winning the last two meetings in Knoxville.
- Head coach Wayne Kreklow is now 34-16 all-time in SEC play and 15-9 all-time on the road in SEC play.
- After posting 14 kills on .312 hitting last weekend, sophomore Emily Thater tallied 10 kills on Friday night, doing so on .471 hitting. Her 10 kills are her most since Sept. 11 when she had 12 in a five-set win at Idaho. She now has 24 kills on .367 hitting over her last three matches.
- Friday's win was Mizzou's sixth when dropping the first set this season.
- Mizzou's middles were much more active again, continuing a recent trend. The middles
- Thater, Whitney Little and Julia Towler - combined for 21 kills on .429 hitting on 36 attempts. After averaging just 4.58 attempts per set in matches against LSU and at Florida and South Carolina, Mizzou's middles are averaging 8.72 attempts per set in the last three matches.
- Mizzou had six players post five or more kills on Friday, the fourth consecutive match that Mizzou has had at least five players with five kills.
- Freshman Kasey Reuter posted eight kills, her most since Oct. 26 at South Carolina.
- Freshman setter Ali Kreklow finished the match with her first career double-double. She pulled in a career-high 14 digs to go along with 13 assists.
- Senior libero Sarah Meister pulled in 21 digs on Friday, her most since pulling in 26 in a five-set win at Mississippi State on Oct. 19.
