COLUMBIA, S.C. - Mizzou volleyball looks to bounce back after a Friday road loss at No. 8 Florida as it heads to Columbia, S.C., for a battle with the South Carolina Gamecocks at 12:30 p.m. (CT). The match will stream live on SEC Network-Plus.

Mizzou and South Carolina's series dates back just two years to when Mizzou joined the SEC. The Tigers took the only meeting between the two teams in 2012, a 3-0 sweep at the Hearnes Center. Mizzou then swept both meetings with SC last season en-route to going 18-0 in league play, winning the SEC. Mizzou hit .559 in the win at the Hearnes Center, a school record against a conference foe and the third-best mark in school history. The Tigers then hit .466 at South Carolina in a 3-0 sweep, committing just five attack errors. In fact, in three matches against the Gamecocks, Mizzou is hitting .437 while averaging 14.89 kills per set.

Senior outside hitter Emily Wilson tallied seven kills in last Friday's match at Florida. That moved her career total to 1,003 as she became the 14th player in school history to reach 1,000 career kills. Of the 14 players to reach 1,000 career kills at Mizzou, 10 have been since Wayne and Susan Kreklow. Two other Tigers to reach 1,000 kills were also coached by Wayne Kreklow when he was an assistant at Mizzou under Craig Sherman in the 90s as 12 of the 14 Tigers in the 1,000-kill club have been coached by a Kreklow.

Senior libero Sarah Meister has 41 digs over her last two matches (5.13 per set) and she now has 1,401 career digs in her three-plus seasons at Mizzou, ranking her third in school history. She will likely finish her career in that third-place spot on Mizzou's all-time digs list as she is now 596 back of second place all-time (Caitlyn Vann - 1,997 from 2007-10).

Junior outside hitter Regan Peltier is a week removed from the best match of her career. In the Tigers' five-set win at Mississippi State last Sunday, Peltier reset career-highs in kills (22), attempts (49), hitting (.327) and points (23.0) while setting season-highs in digs and assists. It was just the fourth 20-plus kill performance for the Tigers this season. Her previous career-best was 12 kills, set her freshman year at Alabama.

Recapping Florida
Mizzou volleyball lost at No. 8 Florida, 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 13-25), on Friday night (Oct. 24) at the O'Connell Center. Senior Emily Wilson tallied her 1,000th career kill in the loss, becoming the 14th player in program history to join the 1,000-kill club. She is the 10th Mizzou player under Wayne and Susan Kreklow to eclipse 1,000 career kills. Wilson finished the night with seven kills on .312 hitting in the loss. Sophomore All-American Carly Kan just missed her 15th double-double with nine kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Loxley Keala tallied her 11th doubled-double with 13 assists and 11 digs - her 11 double-doubles are second in the SEC, trailing only Kan. One match removed from a career-high 22 kills, Regan Peltier tallied seven in the loss as did freshman Kasey Reuter. Senior libero Sarah Meister pulled in a team-high 15 digs and senior Whitney Little (Keller, Texas) finished with a pair of blocks.
