STILLWATER, Okla. - At day two of the ITA Central Regionals, sophomore Brittany Lashway and junior Kelli Hine each fell out of the singles and doubles main draws. After a pair of singles victories Friday, Hine fell to No. 1 seeded Viktoriya Lushkova (6-4, 6-2) from Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon.
After a win in their lone doubles match yesterday, the Tigers duo dropped a second round matchup Saturday against Wichita State's Gabriela Porubin and Julia Schiller (8-6).
Later in the afternoon in consolation singles play, Lashway bounced back with two victories against the competition. First, the Bradnenton, Fla. native defeated Arkansas' Nastassia Rubel (6-2, 7-5) then took down the Razorbacks' Nicole Breaux (3-6, 6-4, 10-5).
Saturday concluded Mizzou's run at this year's ITA Regionals. Up next for the Tigers this fall is a trip to the Hoosier Invite from Oct. 24-26.
